The tools run in any modern browser. Here is the practical compatibility picture.

Modern browsers, fully supported

The tools use standard web technologies: HTML5, canvas, WebAssembly, web workers and modern JavaScript. Any current, updated browser works:

  • Chrome / Edge (desktop and Android) — fully supported.
  • Firefox (desktop and Android) — fully supported.
  • Safari (macOS and iOS) — supported; iOS Safari 15+ recommended.

What "supported" means

All 50 tools should work in the browsers above. Heavy operations (OCR, strong compression of large files) run more slowly on less powerful devices, but still work.

If a tool doesn't work

Work through this checklist:

  1. Update your browser — processing relies on modern APIs.
  2. Disable aggressive extensions — some privacy blockers interfere with canvas rendering.
  3. Try another browser — if it works there, the issue is browser-specific.
  4. Check the file — a damaged file fails everywhere. Open it in a PDF viewer first.
  5. Report it — use the Report a Problem page with your browser and OS versions.

What is NOT supported

  • Very old browsers (IE11 and similar) — the site targets modern engines.
  • Browsers with JavaScript disabled — the tools require JavaScript (the pages still show content).
  • Private-mode quirks — some browsers limit storage in private mode, which can affect very large files.
