Free use
All tools on this site are provided free of charge. No account, payment or registration is required.
How the tools work
The tools process files locally in your browser. We make no claim that processing happens anywhere other than your device, and we take no responsibility for files you choose to process. You are responsible for the files you use with the tools, including ensuring you have the right to process them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the tools to process files you do not have the right to process.
- Attempt to circumvent password protection on documents you do not own (the unlock tool requires the password).
- Use the site to distribute malicious content.
- Interfere with the functioning of the site or its infrastructure.
No warranty
The tools are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Processing runs on your device and depends on your browser, hardware and file characteristics.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreePDFToolbox and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the site, including data loss resulting from processed files. Keep backups of important documents before processing them.
Accuracy of output
PDF processing is lossy in some tools (for example, strong compression converts pages to images; redaction covers content visually). Read each tool's limitation notes. We do not guarantee that output matches professional or certified standards (such as certified PDF/A or certified digital signatures).
